Brain-Scanning headset could speed stroke care in the ambulance

Summary
This study is testing a portable, headset-like device that measures brain waves (EEG) to help ambulance crews quickly identify if a patient is having a severe type of stroke. The goal is to get these patients directly to the right specialized hospital for urgent treatment, avoiding delays from being taken to the wrong hospital first. Researchers will test the device's accuracy and ease of use with 275 adults suspected of having a stroke.
