NCT ID NCT07420868

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether a dressing made from a patient's own blood (platelet-rich plasma) helps heal chronic wounds better than a standard saltwater (saline) dressing. One hundred adults with long-lasting skin ulcers, including diabetic foot sores, took part. The goal was to see if the special dressing could shrink the wound more over six weeks.
