Pancreas removal study to uncover diabetes danger

NCT ID NCT07608055

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will follow about 579 adults who need surgery to remove part or all of their pancreas but do not have diabetes before the operation. Researchers want to see how often new diabetes develops after surgery and whether the amount of pancreas removed changes that risk. The goal is to better understand the metabolic effects of pancreatic surgery and improve long-term care for these patients.
