New daily pill could help teens shed pounds in major trial

Summary
This study tests a once-daily pill called orforglipron against a placebo in 150 teens aged 12-17 who have obesity or are overweight with related health issues. Participants take the pill for about 18 months while continuing healthy lifestyle changes. The goal is to see if the pill safely helps lower body mass index (BMI) and improve weight-related quality of life.
