Summary
This study compared two types of weight-loss surgery for people with severe obesity: the standard Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and a newer Omega Loop bypass. Researchers wanted to see which surgery is safer and works better for weight loss. The trial involved 256 adults aged 18 to 65 with a BMI of 35 or higher and related health issues.
