Scientists investigate whether autoantibodies drive obesity

NCT ID NCT07542327

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether certain autoantibodies (proteins that mistakenly attack the body) are more common in people with obesity and if they are linked to related health problems like type 2 diabetes. Researchers will study 160 adults with a BMI over 30. The goal is to better understand the role of these antibodies, not to test a new treatment.
