NCT ID NCT06044935

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how a low-carbohydrate diet and a supplement called nicotinamide riboside (NR) change the way the body burns fat and uses energy. Researchers will study 100 overweight or obese adults, including some with a specific type of diabetes. Participants will stay in the clinic, eat a standard diet then a low-carb diet, and take either NR or a placebo pill. The goal is to measure changes in metabolism, not to treat any disease.
