New study peers into brain inflammation to unlock secrets of rare dementia
NCT ID NCT06870838
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This observational study looks at how brain inflammation contributes to frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD), a group of rare brain disorders. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans, blood tests, and spinal fluid samples from 110 participants to track changes over time. The goal is to better understand the disease and find markers that could help diagnose and monitor it, not to test a new treatment.
