First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether using game-like rewards and personal coaching can help older adults (50+) become more active after leaving the hospital. Participants wear a Fitbit to track steps and are randomly assigned to a program that uses points, levels, and social support to encourage walking. The goal is to see if these fun, low-cost strategies can prevent mobility problems and improve daily activity over 26 weeks.
