Summary
This study looks at how partial sleep deprivation affects blood pressure in healthy young adults whose parents have high blood pressure compared to those whose parents have normal blood pressure. Participants will spend 10 days in a sleep lab, with some nights allowing only 5 hours of sleep and others allowing 9 hours. Researchers will measure blood pressure around the clock to see if a family history of hypertension makes the body more sensitive to the effects of short sleep.
