Mental health check for sarcoma surgery: a new study tests early support

Summary
This study looks at whether giving sarcoma patients early access to mental healthcare before and after surgery can help with depression, anxiety, and quality of life. About 60 adults with bone or soft tissue sarcoma who are scheduled for surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering will take part. Researchers will compare those who get early psychiatric referrals to those who do not, focusing on how practical and helpful the approach is.
