Summary
This study looks at whether giving magnesium sulfate through an IV can help manage pain and reduce the need for strong painkillers in trauma patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). About 156 adults with injuries will receive either magnesium or a saltwater solution. The goal is to see if magnesium can safely lower opioid use and improve pain control.
