Summary

This study tested a new magnetic system (MagDI) that creates a shortcut in the small intestine to help with weight loss and blood sugar control in adults with obesity and type 2 diabetes. Ten participants received the procedure to see if it is safe and works as intended. The goal is to offer a less invasive alternative to traditional surgery.
