Does anesthesia flow rate affect inflammation in obesity surgery?

NCT ID NCT07230704

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at 155 adults who had weight-loss surgery to see if using a lower flow of anesthesia gas (sevoflurane) affected inflammation levels differently than a standard flow. Researchers checked blood markers of inflammation before and after surgery. The goal was to learn more about how anesthesia choices might influence recovery, not to provide a new treatment.
