Summary

This study follows 16 people who previously received ICM-203 (a gene therapy) or a placebo for knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will track delayed side effects and measure changes in knee pain and function over time. The goal is to understand the long-term safety and effectiveness of this experimental treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

ICM-203 (gene therapy)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that ICM-203 is safe and effective for long-term knee osteoarthritis control.

What could go wrong

This is a very small follow-up study (16 people) with no new treatment given, so results may not apply widely. Long-term safety data is still being collected.
