NCT ID NCT03379207
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at how certain immune cells, called non-conventional T cells, work in people with severe pneumonia and a related lung condition called ARDS. Researchers compared 100 ICU patients with pneumonia to 50 healthy controls, analyzing blood and lung fluid samples over time. The goal was to better understand the immune response, not to test a new treatment.
