Summary
This study looks at the link between high uric acid levels (hyperuricemia) and fatty liver disease in 111 obese adults. Researchers want to see if high uric acid increases the risk of liver scarring (fibrosis). The goal is to find ways to catch liver problems early and possibly use urate-lowering treatments to slow the disease.
