First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tests a home-based program called HOBSCOTCH, designed to help people with multiple sclerosis manage memory and thinking problems. Eleven participants will attend virtual coaching sessions and complete questionnaires about their quality of life and cognitive function. The goal is to see if the program is feasible and improves daily life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HOBSCOTCH-MS behavioral program (problem-solving therapy and cognitive training)
What this could lead to
If successful, this program could offer a practical way for people with MS to manage memory and thinking problems at home, improving their daily quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study with only 11 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The program is not a treatment for MS itself and may not help all cognitive symptoms.
