One pill to treat heart failure: could a polypill save lives in sri lanka?
NCT ID NCT07569640
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a single pill containing four standard heart failure medications can help people with a weak heart pump (ejection fraction 40% or less) live longer and avoid hospital stays. About 1,656 adults in Sri Lanka will either receive the polypill or usual care, and researchers will track heart-related deaths, hospitalizations, and quality of life over at least 12 months. The goal is to see if combining medicines into one pill makes it easier for patients to stick with treatment and improves outcomes.
