First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if a procedure called arterial embolization using Lipiodol is safe for people with painful hand osteoarthritis that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Fifteen participants will receive the procedure and be followed for 6 months to track side effects, pain levels, and hand function. The goal is to see if blocking certain blood vessels can reduce pain and improve daily use of the hands.
