First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests a blood filter called HA380 in 40 very ill adults (ages 18–65) who are on dialysis or a heart-lung machine (ECMO) due to severe infection, injury, or major surgery. The filter aims to remove inflammatory substances from the blood, potentially reducing time on life support and in the ICU. The main goal is to see if a larger study is possible, while also checking effects on recovery and survival.
