Can ultrasound see inside stomachs after bariatric surgery?
NCT ID NCT07310875
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This small study will test whether a stomach ultrasound can work in people who have already had bariatric surgery. Ten adults scheduled for another surgery will have their stomachs scanned before and after the procedure. The goal is to see if ultrasound can measure stomach size and fluid, which could help doctors assess the risk of food or liquid entering the lungs during anesthesia.
