First major study tests common nerve pain drugs in kids

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two commonly used nerve pain medications works better for children and teenagers. Researchers will compare gabapentin and oxcarbazepine in 60 young patients with chronic nerve pain to see which reduces pain more effectively and has fewer side effects. The study will also measure how the medications affect daily functioning, mood, and thinking skills.
