NCT ID NCT04924270
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study explores whether fecal transplants (capsules containing healthy donor stool) can improve quality of life and control inflammation in people newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis. Two hundred participants will receive either the transplant or a placebo for one month, alongside standard anti-inflammatory treatment. The goal is to see if this approach safely reduces disease activity and delays the need for stronger medications.
