First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching patients about nutrition and following a specific fasting plan before knee replacement surgery can help reduce thirst, nausea, and vomiting after the operation. About 72 adults having knee replacement will be split into two groups: one gets the special education and fasting plan, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to better comfort and recovery.
