First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether starting cholesterol-lowering care in the emergency department can reduce heart risks for adults aged 40-75 who are at risk for heart disease but not yet on treatment. About 130 participants will receive a guideline-based program to lower their cholesterol. The goal is to see if this early intervention leads to better cholesterol levels and helps prevent future heart problems.
