First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a lung imaging technique called EIT can help doctors perform safer, more personalized breathing maneuvers in children with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Eight children on ventilators will be monitored with EIT during a step-by-step lung opening procedure. The goal is to see if this approach leads to more even air distribution and less lung damage.
