New CT technique could spare some cardiac arrest patients from invasive heart tests

NCT ID NCT07388342

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new CT scan method that checks for blocked heart arteries in people who survive a cardiac arrest, without needing extra medication or heart monitoring. About 30 adults who have been revived after a cardiac arrest will get this special CT scan, and the results will be compared to the standard invasive angiography. If the CT is accurate, it could help doctors decide who truly needs urgent angiography and who can safely wait.
