Summary
This study aimed to understand how COVID-19 causes organ damage in critically ill patients. Researchers followed 380 patients in intensive care with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, collecting daily blood, urine, and sputum samples. They analyzed these samples to identify biological markers that could predict organ failure and poor outcomes.
