First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) helps people with diabetes who are on dialysis keep their blood sugar in a healthy range. About 96 adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and on either hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis will be split into three groups: one using standard finger-prick tests, one using CGM occasionally, and one using CGM all the time. The goal is to see if CGM leads to better blood sugar control and fewer complications over 9 months.
