Summary

This study tests a two-session, Zoom-based cognitive behavioral therapy program designed for Deaf adults who use American Sign Language. The goal is to change negative beliefs about mental health treatment and encourage participants to seek professional help. Researchers will also measure whether the program reduces suicidal thoughts, hopelessness, and symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, or alcohol use. About 110 Deaf adults with untreated mental health or alcohol problems will either receive the program immediately or join a waitlist.
