First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving women a single dose of antibiotics during a routine clinic procedure for stress urinary incontinence (called urethral bulking) can lower their chance of getting a urinary tract infection afterward. About 150 women will take part, and half will receive the antibiotics while the other half will not. The goal is to see if this simple step makes a real difference in preventing infections.
