Faster brain zaps tested for elderly depression
NCT ID NCT06854367
Summary
This study tests whether giving multiple brain stimulation treatments per day works better than one daily treatment for depression in people aged 60+. All participants receive active treatment, but some get multiple sessions daily for a shorter period while others get one session daily for about six weeks. The goal is to find the most effective schedule for reducing depression symptoms in older adults who haven't responded well to standard medications.
