Trial tests Gadolinium-Free MRI dye to spot brain tumors and MS lesions

NCT ID NCT06322342

Summary

This study tested a new type of MRI contrast dye called RVP-001, which is based on manganese instead of the commonly used gadolinium. It involved 18 adults with known brain or spinal cord lesions from conditions like tumors or multiple sclerosis. The main goal was to see if RVP-001 was safe and if it could make lesions show up as clearly on MRI scans as the standard gadolinium-based dyes do.
