Digital therapy aims to tame the fear that haunts cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT07741968
First seen Aug 03, 2026 · Last updated Aug 11, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This trial tests a blended e-health program designed to help women with breast or gynecologic cancer cope with fear of their cancer returning or worsening. The program combines remote group sessions with online modules that teach skills to manage unhelpful thoughts and promote helpful coping behaviors. Researchers will see if the program is feasible and acceptable, and whether it reduces fear of progression and related distress.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- A blended e-health intervention combining remote group sessions and online modules to help manage fear of cancer progression.
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this program could offer a scalable, accessible way to reduce fear of cancer progression, improving emotional well-being and quality of life for many cancer survivors.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early feasibility study, so it may not show significant benefits. The intervention requires active participation, and dropout or low engagement could limit its impact.
