This study tests whether a stepped-care program using digital tools like smart scales, activity trackers, and text messages, plus in-person counseling if needed, can help adults with obesity maintain at least 5% weight loss for a year. About 258 participants first lose weight through a 16-week program with group counseling and meal replacements.
