Vitamin k before surgery: a simple fix for blood thinner patients?

NCT ID NCT07515664

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a one-time dose of vitamin K before surgery can safely lower the blood-thinning effects of warfarin, so patients don't have to stop taking it. Researchers will enroll 20 adults who have been on warfarin for at least 3 months and need a procedure where their blood must be less thin. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and works, not to prove it's better than standard care.
