NCT ID NCT07275177
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking a daily high-dose vitamin D3 pill (10,000 IU) for 12 weeks could improve muscle strength and muscle mass in 29 older adults (60+) with obesity in southern Mexico. Participants had their grip strength, muscle mass, and physical performance measured before and after the supplement. The goal was to see if fixing low vitamin D levels could help prevent falls and disability in this group.
