NCT ID NCT07213986
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study is testing a special capsule that vibrates as it moves through the digestive system. The goal is to see if it is safe and helpful for people with spinal cord injuries who have bowel problems. Only 12 participants will be enrolled to check safety and how well they can use the device.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Vibrant Capsule (a vibrating device swallowed to stimulate the colon)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new, non-drug way to manage bowel problems in people with spinal cord injury.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study with only 12 people, so results may not apply widely. The capsule may not work or could cause discomfort.
