Scientists probe why belly fat acts differently in obesity

Summary
This study looks at why fat tissue in the belly area doesn't respond normally in people with obesity. Researchers will measure how fat cells release fatty acids in different body areas. The goal is to understand the basic biology of fat tissue, not to test a treatment. 24 adults aged 18-65 will participate at Mayo Clinic.
