First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at over 3,400 newborns who are not vigorous at birth (between 35 and 42 weeks). Researchers want to see if milking the umbilical cord (pushing blood into the baby) before clamping it leads to fewer cases of brain injury or death compared to clamping the cord right away. The goal is to find the best way to help these babies start life healthier.
