NCT ID NCT06410820
First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether using ultrasound to guide spinal anesthesia works better than the usual method of feeling for landmarks in very obese women (BMI 50 or higher) having a planned C-section. Sixty women took part. The main goal was to see if the first needle stick was more likely to succeed with ultrasound. The results could make the procedure safer and more comfortable for this group.
