New study tests safer tourniquet release for hypertensive surgery patients

Summary

This study looks at two different methods of releasing a tourniquet after upper arm surgery in people with high blood pressure. The goal is to see which method causes less of a sudden drop in blood pressure. The study will include 68 adults whose blood pressure is controlled with medication and who need arm surgery lasting at least 30 minutes.
