First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study is testing a special temperature-sensing probe that can be used during a routine colonoscopy to measure heat in the lining of the colon. The goal is to see if this probe can help doctors detect inflammation in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. About 20 adults will take part, and the probe will be used during their scheduled colonoscopy to collect real-time temperature readings.
