Knee replacement recovery: could a phone call replace the Doctor's office?

NCT ID NCT07058623

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether nurse-led telehealth visits using a mobile app can detect complications and support recovery after total knee replacement surgery as effectively as traditional in-person clinic visits. About 98 adults who had their first knee replacement will be randomly assigned to either telehealth or in-person follow-up care. Researchers will compare how many complications are caught and how well patients recover, aiming to see if telehealth can offer a safe and more convenient option.
