Brain zapping study aims to sharpen minds across mental disorders

Summary

This study tests if a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can improve executive functions like memory, attention, and decision-making in people with various neuropsychiatric conditions. Researchers will enroll 600 adults with diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, or substance use disorders. Participants will receive tDCS and complete computer-based tasks to measure changes in cognitive abilities.
