Blood test breakthrough could revolutionize dementia diagnosis
NCT ID NCT06122415
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing whether new blood tests can accurately diagnose the cause of memory problems, potentially replacing the need for more invasive spinal fluid tests. Researchers will compare blood test results with spinal fluid results in 1,200 people being evaluated at a memory clinic. If successful, this could make diagnosis faster, cheaper, and easier for patients.
