New drug aims to cut opioid use after knee replacement

Summary

This study tests whether adding suzetrigine (Journavx) to standard pain management can lower pain and reduce the need for opioid painkillers after total knee replacement. About 75 adults with knee arthritis will take the drug as part of their post-surgery care. The goal is to improve pain control and limit opioid use.
