Can virtual reality make knee pain therapy more engaging?
NCT ID NCT06272825
First seen Aug 11, 2026 · Last updated Aug 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether adding virtual reality (VR) exercises to a standard rehabilitation program can improve pain, balance, and quality of life in people with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis. Adults aged 40-85 with chronic knee pain will either receive conventional rehab alone or conventional rehab plus VR-based exercises, five days a week for three weeks. The study measures changes in pain, disability, balance, and overall well-being to see if the immersive VR approach boosts motivation and outcomes.
