First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested a drug called sunitinib in 21 people with kidney cancer that had spread to the brain. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink brain tumors. Sunitinib works by blocking enzymes that help cancer cells grow and by cutting off blood flow to tumors. The study was small and early-stage, so results are not yet a proven treatment.
